Information you submit
The Contact and Claim / Correct / Remove forms store the name, email address, company details and message you provide so an administrator can review and respond to the request. Submitting a form does not automatically alter a public record.
Usage measurements
The server keeps daily totals of requests for public pages, grouped by page path, broad response status and a small set of client categories. These totals use no cookies or browser storage. They do not store individual request records, IP addresses, full user-agent strings, search text, query parameters or visitor IDs. Robot categories are inferred from the request's user-agent and are not proof of a verified search-engine crawler. Repeated requests count again; these totals are not unique visitors.
Optional usage measurement starts only after you choose Allow measurement. It includes page views and sessions measured separately for each browser tab, with a new session after 30 minutes of inactivity. These counts are not unique people and do not cover visitors who decline, disable scripts or block requests. The Privacy settings button lets you stop measurement. Your choice and short-lived deduplication markers are kept in this tab's session storage; no persistent visitor identifier is sent to the server.
Cooling Index records limited first-party events for submitted searches and filters, comparison actions, search-engine landing categories, and clicks to official manufacturer or evidence sources. Search text, full referrer URLs, IP addresses, device fingerprints, advertising identifiers and cross-site tracking IDs are not stored in these event records.
Comparison selections are stored in your browser's local storage so you can move between pages. They include up to four product database IDs, short product labels and internal product-page links; they are not a persistent visitor identifier. Clear the comparison to remove the current selection, or clear this site's browser storage. Opening a shared comparison link replaces the selection with the products in that link.
Capacity and length display preferences are kept only in the current tab's session storage. Conversions change the display, not the recorded source values. These functional preferences do not enable optional usage measurement.
Source records
Manufacturer and product facts come from public business sources. Each published specification retains its cited text, source URL and collection date for evidence review and correction handling.
Retention and requests
Raw optional usage events are retained for up to 90 days; daily event and server-request totals for about 13 months (395 days), with expired totals removed during maintenance. Older click records created before this policy are kept separately as an unfiltered historical baseline and are not combined with current reporting. Form submissions are retained while needed for review and follow-up. Use the Contact page to request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted.
